Preparations for Alnmouth Arts Festival

Preparations have started for this years Almouth Arts Festival.

29th-30th June.

and mini bunting. This one is a lovely mix of recycled men's shirts, the soft blues are perfect coastal colours.

I made this quilt for a friend recently.

The pattern of the red rectangles and the white squares always reminds me of a brick wall.

I quilted it with a meadow of free motion flowers

and leaf designs.

There are thistles, poppies, daisies, cornflowers and grasses.

Flowers on a wall --- wallflowers! 

lavender bag gift sets

I've just created some lavender bag gift sets, a lavender bag and a matching card.

The lavender bag contains 100% lavender, and measures 5cm x 9.5cm . It is decorated with merino wool and embroidery stitches depicting a bunch of lavender flowers, and has a purple gingham ribbon so it can be hung. Perfect for scenting a drawer, linen cupboard or, on your pillow.

 

The card is printed on a thick 350gsm FSC certified stock, satin coated on the outside, and the inside is blank for your message, and supplied with a white envelope. Card measurement is 10.5cm x 14.8cm.

New Stockist - Treacle Wool Shop

My textile art greetings cards are now being stocked locally in Treacle Wool Shop in Morpeth. They will also be carrying a selection of my lavender bags, and well as selling loads of really gorgeous and colourful wool!

I've just listed two of my canvas pictures to my etsy shop, a lavender picture,

 and a cottages canvas. These cottages were inspired by Craster in Northumberland,

which is where I was at 4am this morning, looking at the peacecamp2012 installation. Unfortunately due to high winds the lighting and poetry were turned off, but it was still beautiful, and we watched the sun rising over the sea.

Almnouth Arts Festival 2012

thankyou to everyone who visited this years Alnmouth Arts Festival

It was a fantastic event with some wonderful exhibitors and artists to visit

I really enjoyed escaping from my stall and having a look round, and it was lovely to meet everyone who stopped by to say hello.

Well these lavender fish come in blue and green and all the colours of the rainbow.

perfect for scenting your linens, hanging on a bathroom doorknob, scenting your car, freshening your sock drawer, or just for keeping as a pet. They are very well behaved.
